The surface of the tooth is etched with a dental acid that will make the tooth perfect for the bonding agent of the composite.The composite is then bonded to the etched tooth and exposed to a special light which hardens and sets it in place.The bonding agent is applied in layers until the right shape is achieved.Once set the the tooth is polished and buffed to the correct shape and smoothness.
What are the disadvantages of composite bondings?
Its main disadvantage is that composite bondings are not as strong as ceramic or porcelain treatments.They can also stain more easily than porcelain or natural teeth.
